In 1992, we developed the first scrip unit. Now demand for that model has declined and we are ending production. Triton continues to introduce new products that better serve the evolving ATM market.

On May 1, 2005, Triton discontinued the production of Triton’s Superscrip product line.  Triton will continue to stock spare parts and provide technical support until May 1, 2010.

According to a news release from MasterCard, the new app lets BlackBerry users locate the nearest ATM, regardless of where they are in the world.

ATM Hunter is available for free download on BlackBerry App World.

“BlackBerry is the No.1 smartphone platform in the country, and we are pleased to bring its users ATM Hunter,” said Cheryl Guerin, senior vice President of U.S. and digital marketing for MasterCard.

The MasterCard ATM Hunter uses the BlackBerry platform’s location awareness technologies to pinpoint the search and locate ATMs in banks, restaurants, airports and retail or convenience stores.

Users without GPS-enabled BlackBerry smartphones, or those who are out of GPS coverage, can still search for nearby ATMs using MasterCard’s database of ATM locations. Users also can customize their hunts based on their banking needs, focusing on a financial institution if they need to make a deposit or wish to avoid ATM-surcharge fees.
